Aikido Renshinkai held its first seminar in São Paulo, Brazil, this past April 12th and 13th!
Chida Sensei’s 1st Brazilian seminar was hosted by Eduardo Pinto Sensei, 7th Dan and chief instructor of the Hikari Dojo.
The event was held at the Continental Club Park gymnasium on São Paulo city’s west side, and was attended by 50 students, who together with their instructors trained under the guidance of Chida Sensei.
With great enthusiasm Chida Sensei encouraged questions, clarified technical points for both rookies and veterans alike, and demonstrated and invited students to practice and perfect the basic movements and different immobilization techniques.
The seminar consisted of two days of intense training in 28 degree temperatures, but with much effort, study and dedication, and also with lots of trust, friendship and joy, the seminar was a great success and enjoyed by all!
Aikido Renshinkai would like to thank Eduardo Pinto Sensei and everyone at the Hikari Dojo for hosting Chida Sensei!
Also special thanks to Mr. Sumio Kojima (Renshinkai Honbu Dojo) for interpreting for Chida Sensei, and Mr. Iuri Moraes (Hikari Dojo) for writing this report about the seminar for us.
