Just a quick update about Renshinkai’s upcoming events!
December 23rd (tomorrow) is Keiko Osame (final training of the year) and our year end party at the Honbu Dojo.
Training will take place from 1pm until 2:30pm and is free for all Renshinkai members.
After training is the annual dojo cleaning, followed by the party beginning at 4pm.
Our first event of 2015 will be Kangeiko, Winter Intensive Training.
Work off that holiday gut between January 10th and 12th as we run through all the basic techniques over 10 hours of training packed into 3 days!
All classes will be held at the Chuo Sports Center near Hamamatsucho station, and training is free for Renshinkai members (500 yen per class for non-members).
As always, everyone is welcome to train – regardless of rank, experience, or affiliation!
Kangeiko will be followed up the next Saturday, January 17th, by our annual Kagami Biraki demonstration at the Honbu dojo.
The demonstration by Chida Sensei and Honbu Instructors begins at 11am, after which there will be a party featuring traditional mochi and rice wine.
Further details about these upcoming events and more will be posted early in the New Year.
