Aikido Renshinkai held its 3rd Annual Aikido Demonstration on September 19th, 2010. For the second consecutive year it was held at the Edogawa Sport Centre in Edogawa city, Tokyo, and this year Renshinkai was honoured to have the Edogawa City Mayor, Mr. Masami Tada, in attendance, and well as an opening address by this year’s Renshinkai Demonstration Committee Chairperson, former Education Minister and former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, Mr. Yoshinobu Shimamura. Distinguished guests in attendance included former Yoshinkai Chairman Mr. Hideo Yamada, and former Yoshinkan Kancho, Mr. Kyoichi Inoue.
As well as welcoming affiliated dojos and friends of Aikido Renshinkai from all over Japan, this year we also had special guests from overseas. Special demonstrations were performed by Mr. Nick Kilislian, head instructor of the Komeikan dojo in Toronto, Canada, Mr. Paul Chapman, instructor at the Aikido Shudokan dojo in Melbourne, Australia, and Geordan Reynolds of the Shindokan dojo in Thailand.
